I completed a major milestone this week by presenting my breakout session at Sitecore Symposium 2022 in Chicago. I have applied to be a Symposium Speaker on a few occasions and was so excited I got selected.

Other than a microphone issue one minute in, the breakout session went really well.

The nerves settled quite quickly and the entire presentation was completed on time.

Even had a few questions from the audience. These were on various topics but all relevant to breakout session.

The following was taken by me before the session and the room as much bigger than I expected. The session had just under 100 people in attendance and everyone stayed for the entire duration.

I will write a blog post explaining the content of my talk so anyone that could not attend Sitecore Symposium can also learn how to expand Content Hub globally. This will be done in the next few weeks.

Conclusion

I absolutely loved doing the session and I cannot wait to do it again. This was the first time I have attended Sitecore Symposium, it was such an experience that I would like to do again next year at Symposium 2023.

Also to have the CEO of Chili Publish – Kevin Goeminne and Chili VP of Partnerships – Fabian Prudhomme attend the session in person was a real pleasure. Chili Publish have been following my journey with Content Hub and Advertisement generation since it started so this was great.

Additionally to have the support of great team mates from EPAM (Zack, Dean, Chris, Walt, Ellen and Miguel) all in the room made it extra special for me.

My advice to anyone that hasn’t spoken before an event, find a topic that participants may not know about. Make clear and rich content that it easy to understand. Start small either with colleagues you work with or present at local user groups.
